Claudia signed up for basketball AND soccer this year. I am happy to see her and the other members of our clan so involved in sports, at whatever level.

Yesterday, we took the kids to see the Field Museum's show on Pompei. On the way to the exhibit, the kids spotted a box full of huge bugs! They couldn't get their eyes off of them!

After we got home from the Pompei exhibit, the kids made mosaics from a kit we bought them. It was the first time in a long while I saw them collaborate!!! Usually, one or two of our kids will work on a projects while the others are watching TV or running around... I was afraid I was throwing money in the wind when they told me they wanted this box (all except Gian Carlo, who wanted gladiators...) but it was money well spent... for once!
