I remember painting a series of these canvases, which have both realistic images, and gestural abstract ones (like the figures in the middle ground).
I like rendering abstract figures, just for the fun of creating volume from simple shapes.

I painted this picture with inks and acrylic paints in a journal I bound myself.
I liked "pearlescent" paints and that's what I used in much art I created in this period.

Inks have always fascinated me. I used them to create this simple drawing. It may be banale, but it has its charm for me.
